Themes from Nature So many wedding theme choices are inspired by nature. For example, think of a snowflake theme, butterfly theme, or even a celestial theme with stars and moons. And of course almost every wedding has fragrances from nature—flowers in all colors, shapes and sizes are incorporated in bouquets and arrangements, and floral motifs and designs can also be used as embellishments in wedding decor as well as favors. Holiday or Seasonal Themes Tis the season...for a wedding! Actually, you could say that about almost any season or holiday. Though August and June are the most popular months for weddings, plenty of couples are tying the knot year-round. Winter weddings are often planned at Christmas or New Year's; the world is already festive and decorated, and people are ready to party! For a St. Patrick's Day wedding, prepare for the wearin' of the green! Shamrocks, green clover fragrance, and Irish Cream Blarney Balm are all ways you can share this day's color and flavor with your wedding guests. Autumn weddings with the rich colors and flavors of the season are second only to summer weddings. | Lavender Toss In recent years, the traditional wedding toss of rice (to promote a fruitful and prosperous life) has been replaced by birdseed, and the most recent twist to this tradition is the lavender toss. Lavender buds are about the same size as rice, are wonderfully fragrant, environmentally friendly, and don't feel like shrapnel when overzealous guests throw them at the couple! Our lavender toss contains plain lavender buds packaged in organza bags in your choice of color. Each bag contains approximately 1/4 ounce of lavender buds (no additional fragrance added) and a personalized tag is tied onto the ribbon closure. These lavender sachets also double as wedding favors; those guests who prefer not to toss the buds can tuck the sachet away to enjoy the soothing, relaxing properties of lavender! Each organza bag is $2.50; minimum order of 10, please. |
