| Nearly everyone is familar with the gifts that the Wise Men (or Magi) brought. Some say they symbolize the three roles of Jesus: gold for the king, frankincense for the god, and myrrh for the man. While some associate these gifts with Christmas, others celebrate Twelfth Night or Three Kings' Day—the beginning of the Feast of Epiphany (from the Greek "manifestation")—remembering that Jesus' divinity was manifested or revealed to the world by the visit of the Magi. Gold, frankincense and myrrh were customary Epiphany gifts for centuries (especially among royalty).
