Coral Wedding Theme

For several years brides have been saying "I do" to a bolder palette. From red through orange and to sunny yellow, wedding colors have shifted from soft, subdued shades to bright hues that pack a visual punch.

The coral wedding theme in particular has become a favorite. Not quite red or orange, not quite pink, coral and the more intense persimmon are really hot. Fabrics have more to offer than just color; their designs add pattern and texture to your gifts. Whether your event is old-world or old-school, designs inspired by textiles such as damask and houndstooth can provide the vintage feel you're looking for. Polkadots, retro swirls, and bubbles in coral, persimmon, peach and brown are more whimsical design choices. Pinstripes of persimmon or wide stripes in coral and brown are understated designs.

Love is in Bloom
Romantic florals are always appropriate for weddings and bridal showers, and there are so many flowers in coral and the more intense persimmon colors. Poppies, peonies, and gerber daisies are perfect floral designs with a pop of that warm, bright color. Bonus: florals are another way to incorporate complementary colors, those shades of green/blue across the color wheel from the red/orange hues of coral.

Pairing Up
In addition to the greens that complement warm red-orange hues like coral and persimmon, many other colors fit well on the palette in the coral wedding theme. Coral pairs up nicely with analogous colors like pinks, reds, and burgundy. Persimmon with peach, and coral with ivory are lovely pairs, as well as brown and coral.
